POSITIONS

HEAD COORDINATORS (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)

The HC will oversee all of the Urbana North (ISR, Allen, Busey-Evans, and LAR), Urbana South (PAR/FAR), and Champaign Residence Halls (Gregory, Peabody, Barton-Lundgren, Taft-Van Doren)
Holistic Duties:
-Acting as official liaison between other organizations and groups.
-Represents Housing and the Asian American community to a high standard.
-Maintaining the well-being of the Asian American Student Housing Organization.
-Bringing up issues which Asian American students face.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Bi-weekly meeting with Advisor/Co-Advisor.
-Leading central AND area meetings every two weeks.
-Attend APAC coalition meetings every other week.
-Helping coordinate large events within each area.
-Responsible for overseeing updated bulletin boards.
-Stat initiatives & settings up meetings with Housing Divisions.
-Attend RSO training/orientation
-Must renew AASHO EACH YEAR before new board comes in.
-Overseeing Budget & finding new initiatives & programs.

AREA COORDINATORS

Three students will be appointed as head coordinators.
1) Urbana North (ISR, Allen, Busey-Evans, and LAR)
2) Urbana South (PAR/FAR)
3) Champaign (Gregory, Peabody, Barton-Lundgren, Taft-Van Doren)
Holistic Duties:
-Maintaining the well-being of the AASHO.
-Bringing up issues which Asian American students face.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Bi-weekly meeting with Advisor/Co-Advisor.
-Leading central AND meetings every two weeks.
-Reserving rooms for Area Meetings (or contact RD to reserve rooms)
-Area Cords need to contact an RD at least 7-10 days in advance.
-Attend APAC coalition meetings every other week.
-Helping coordinate large events within each area.
-Responsible for overseeing updated bulletin boards.
-Start initiatives & setting up meetings with Housing Divisions.
-Attend RSO training/Orientation
-Must renew AASHO EACH YEAR before new board comes in.
-Overseeing Budget and finding new initiatives and programs (if HC can NOT)

SECRETARY

One secretary will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Maintaining the well-being of the AASHO.
-Bringing up issues which Asian American students face.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Prepare agenda for Central AASHO Meeting.
-Email AASHO members weekly regarding meetings/events.
-Take structured minutes per each Central AASHO meeting and send the minutes within 24 hours of each meeting.
-Email AASHO regarding specific events.
-Attending Housing Leadership Coalition Meetings for 1 semester.

TREASURER

One treasurer will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Maintaining the well-being of the AASHO.
-Bringing up issues which Asian American students face.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Responsible for preparing budget from programs. Head Coord & advice,etc.
-Responsible for getting vouchers AT LEAST 5-7 Business days in advance.
-Responsible for attending RSO Treasurer Workshops.
-Responsible for helping members with Vouchers, and overall budget planning /overview.

INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH

One International Outreach chair will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Bringing up issues which International students face.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Preparing 1 large scale International related program a semester.
-Recognizing student needs & issues and addressing them.
-Prepare 1 passive program per semester (ie. Language exchange, translator resources, etc.)
-Update AASHO regarding issues in Asia.

PROGRAMMERS

Six programmers chairs will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Constantly assessing needs of resident hall students.
-Maintaining positive relationship with Dining Services, Res. Life, and other depts..
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Attend area meetings.
-Creating passive programming (bulletin boards, flyers, dining hall posters)
-Initiating and Assessing Dining Hall food issues.
-Creating 3 programs per hall per semester in coordination with Head Cords.
-Updating and helping with bulletin board.

PUBLICITY

Three publicity chairs will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Creatively designing attractive flyers & advertisements for AASHO.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Helping Programs Liaisons advertise & post up flyers during each program.
-Creating program flyers and handouts.
-Create Bulletin Boards in a Box/Updating Bulletin Boards.
-Receiving proper stamps, dining hall approval for advertising.
-Learning/Having knowledge of Photoshop, Word, Paint, etc to male good advertisements.
-MUST utilize poster machine, AASHO resources.

WEBMASTER

One webmaster will be appointed to AASHO.
Holistic Duties:
-Help maintaining the well-being of the AASHO.
-Devoting time & energy to help all other officers.
-Participate & arrive early to meetings & AASHO events.

Specific Duties:
-Updating the website weekly
-Announcements
-Events
-Pictures
-Must maintain the website to include
-Officers profiles.
-Advisor/Student Advisor/Officer Information
-History, Mission Statement.
-Utilize creative buttons, forms, and interactive website functions.
